Tantra en shibari workshops

Tantrische Shibari is geen knopenles. Het is een manier om op een andere manier aanwezig te zijn met iemand anders, via touw, aanraking en aandacht. Wat je meeneemt uit mijn workshops is niet zozeer een techniek, maar een ervaring: hoe het voelt om te leiden en gevolgd te worden. Daarnaast geef ik ook technische shibari lessen.

In Primal Play, we invite that part back. Through animal archetypes, from playful cat to hunting wolf, you discover what happens when your instinct gets to take the lead. You learn to hunt and be hunted. Feeling boundaries from your body, not from your head. Experiencing dominance that is not about power, but about presence.

Bind Me Loose: a temple weekend full of passion and rope. A two-day journey from desire to pure surrender. Two days of intense touch, breath, and play. Learning to follow and lead. Being bound is the most powerful path to pure, escaped freedom.

From shame to surrender, in a weekend that feels like a week

Some things need more than a day. More space. More time to land, to open, and to really sink in.

Bind Me Loose is a complete temple weekend where we immerse ourselves in the journey from shame to surrender. For two days, we work with rope, touch, breath, voice, and play. You learn to take AND give. Lead AND follow. You learn that being bound is the most powerful path to pure, escaped freedom.

On Saturday, we unravel where shame resides in your body. Through shibari, tantric exercises, and consent work, you discover how rope does not limit but liberates. Saturday evening opens the Temple of Surrender: a sacred space where you can feel, follow, and be further. On Sunday, we anchor everything in the body, so you carry the experience home.

This brings you: an immersion that goes deeper than what one day can offer. The space to open layer by layer. And what participants describe as "a journey that seemed to last a week" — in which everything was allowed to be seen, without judgment.

I participated in this shibari-tantra day with Michael, and I especially noticed how good it felt to approach shibari not from a "technique" perspective, but from connection. The day felt like an invitation to slow down, to feel, and to truly attune: to myself, to the other, and to what felt right at that moment.

What I found powerful was how the guidance read the group and adapted the day to the level of the participants. There was a mix of people with and without experience in shibari, with and without a tantra background, and yet it felt safe and coherent. That gave me peace: I had nothing to prove, just to be present.

I did not come as a couple, and I appreciated how there was space for different ways of participating: you were gently invited to practice with other partners, but it was also made clear that those who preferred to work with a fixed partner had just as much space.

I went home with a deeper sense of my body and the realization that "good" is not in the knots, but in the attunement. Highly recommended for those who want to explore shibari and tantra from safety, connection, and experience.

What does a workshop look like?

My workshops follow a familiar pattern: we start with a welcome circle to land and share intentions. Then we lay the foundation: safety and consent, not as a formality but as the basis of everything that follows. We ensure that everyone knows the concepts of the wheel of consent. After that, I demonstrate the first techniques, and you practice in pairs or in a group with my guidance. Then we will feel with the technique you have learned.

You don't need to bring anything. I provide POSH ropes — they are pleasant to use and easy to clean after each workshop. Clothing: comfortable and loose. The workshop is non-sexual and there is no nudity.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know anything already?

Can I come alone?

Yes. You will be paired with another participant. It is a learning environment, not a dating event.

Is it painful?

Nee. Ik werk met continue check-ins en we passen alles direct aan. We werken nooit naar posities die pijn doen.

What rope do we use?

In my workshops, I always use POSH ropes. They feel the most natural of all synthetic options and are easy to clean after each session. I only use jute and hemp in private sessions.

What do these workshops do for couples?
