Meditative Shibari

Welcome to the world of Meditative Shibari—a form of Japanese rope art that goes far beyond aesthetics or performance. Here in Eke, near Ghent, I invite you to experience rope as a pathway to presence, release, and deep connection.

What makes Meditative Shibari unique?
While classical Shibari often focuses on the beauty of knots and patterns, Meditative Shibari turns the attention inward. Rope becomes a living meditation:
- For the rigger, every knot and movement is an act of awareness.
- For the bunny, the ropes become a safe container, inviting softness, trust, and the attentive sensing of every subtle touch on the skin.
This creates a space where relaxation, surrender, and emotional depth are possible—a chance to meet yourself beyond the noise of daily life.

Suspension – a path to release
One of the most transformative aspects of Meditative Shibari is suspension.
Being lifted in the ropes brings gentle pressure to the fascia—the connective tissue where tension, trauma, and memories are often stored.
- In suspension, the body surrenders into the ropes, allowing deep tensions in the fascia to loosen.
- When the ropes are slowly untied, the body often responds with a wave of release: memories, emotions, or old experiences may surface and gently dissolve.
- This process is not only physical, but also deeply therapeutic—creating more space in both body and mind.
Many people describe it as an experience of weightlessness, freedom, and healing.
Private sessions in Gent
During a private session, I invite you to let yourself be fully held by the ropes. In a safe and carefully guided setting, you will find deeper relaxation, inner balance, and the release of what no longer needs to be carried.
