Surrender asks something of you. It asks that you feel safe enough to put control down for a while. It asks trust in the hands that hold you. And it asks that you know your own yes and your own no, because everything that follows rests on that.
In this edition I take a whole day for it. We go deeper into the rope and deeper into what makes surrender possible in your body.
How the day runs
13:00 to 18:00, the day programme. Arriving, a short circle, and the agreements about consent and safety. After that we work with the rope: patterns that carry the body, pace, tension, and the art of working calmly. We look at what holds surrender back in you and what softens it. We breathe, we slow down, and we swap roles so that you come to know both sides. We close with room for silence and aftercare.
18:00, potluck. We eat together. Bring a dish to share.
19:30 to 22:00, the rope temple. A space where you may play with each other, with the rope you held during the day. I stay present and hold the space.
Who it is for
For anyone who has met shibari or tantra before and wants to go further. You do not have to be advanced.
- Solos are welcome. I do not assign partners, and the warm-up lets you sense each other first.
- Coming from the free introduction or from the classes? This is a good next step. During the day the clothes stay on, just like there.
- From 25 years old. I guide this day in Dutch.
Intensity: 🌶️ level 1 during the day, 🌶️🌶️ level 2 in the temple
I work with a chilli system that shows what the intensity may be for your nervous system, so that you know beforehand what you are stepping into.
Level 1, the connection. Clothes stay on, and we reach out. A soft touch, eye contact. That is how the whole day programme runs.
Level 2, the opening. Sensuality is given room and clothing can come off, always your choice. That is how the rope temple runs.
You may always step down. If halfway through something feels like too much, you step out without having to explain yourself. Read how the chilli system works.
Safety and consent
The same agreements as in my classes and workshops. We set out consent explicitly at the start, you always ask before you touch or tie someone, and you may stop at any moment without having to explain yourself.
I keep an eye on nerves and pressure, and I step in when a tie does not sit safely. There is no working towards pain. Read how I work with safety and consent.

What I ask of you
You take responsibility for your own process. You know your boundaries and you say them. You respect the boundaries of the others, also when they surprise you. You are sober. Everything shared here stays here.
Frequently asked questions
You do not have to be advanced. I do ask that you have met shibari or tantra before, so that we can build further on the day itself.
Yes. Solos are welcome. I do not assign partners. The warm-up lets you get to know and sense each other, so the choice happens on feeling.
No. You decide for yourself whether you stay in the evening. Anyone who goes home after the potluck has had a full day.
During the day they do, that is level 1. In the rope temple clothing can come off, and that is always your choice.
I work without pain. Rope can feel intense, and I teach you how to say when something becomes too much.
A space in the evening where you may play with each other with the rope you held during the day. I stay present and hold the space, and the consent agreements from the day continue to apply.
The day programme sits at level 1 of my chilli system and the rope temple at level 2. You may always step down, at any moment, without explaining yourself.
